Get DirectionsValley Vet Clinic is offering a pet first aid seminar on September 25th from 11am-4pm at the Nunacor Building.
This course is designed by Dr. Jackson to help pet owners learn what is “normal” for their pet, when they have an emergency, and what they can do or shouldn’t do in specific situations while waiting to get to a vet. This course covers a variety of body systems and situations relevant to Labrador including common poisons, traumas, and a wide variety of illnesses, and is for dog, cat, and rabbit owners.
The course is available both virtually or in person.
Live attendance will include a first aid kit, and a hands-on advantage to practice some of your newly learned skills. The live event has a 20 person limit. To register for the live event please visit the clinic at 394 Hamilton River Road or call us at 896-2627.
Virtual attendance will include a first aid kit, live streaming of the in-person course via zoom, a visual demonstration of how to check temperature, pulse, and respiration on a dog, a look at commonly used pet-related equipment, a rundown on the items in the first aid kit, and a bandaging demonstration. Extra charges may apply for shipping the first aid kit. Chat will be available to ask questions or for clarification. To register for the live stream please visit https://gfhealth.as.me/firstaid.
